Ginkgo is the only remaining species of a group of trees widely distributed during prehistoric times. Its fantails leaves are deciduous 2 – 3.5 inches wide and turn yellow in the fall.This tree is considered both a shade tree and an ornamental tree. It features a spreading canopy capable of blocking sunlight adding visual interest and beauty to landscaping.This tree works well as a street tree and in confined places. It tolerates heat and air pollution, transplants easily, and can live 3,000 years.
