Commonly called Japanese maple, this small tree grows to 10-25 feet tall. It is native to Japan, Korea, and China. It has an upright, slow-growing, vase shaped form. The coral bark name is in reference to the distinctive and showy pink bark which provides excellent color and contrast to landscapes in winter.
