Wes Hopper Reading poem

May 20, 2017 was a long reached milestone–The Cooper Young Garden Club, spearheaded by Judi Shellabarger, attained Level 3 Arboretum Certification!  That means we identified + labeled over 90 different tree species within our neighborhood. More remarkable is that Judi and her team completed this in one year. Now neighbors, walkers, and Peabody + Natural School children can learn tree names and importance of trees in making our neighborhood more livable, comfortable and beautiful. Thank you, also to the West TN Urban Forestry group + Wes Hopper  for helping us find and label suitable trees. Our webpage includes the tree map. Also, we have a Cooper Young Arboretum app you can download.

When you see Judi Shellabarger, be sure to tell her how much you appreciate her hard work and dedication to this project.

Wes Hooper, Jamita Swearenger, Kim Halyak, Judi Shellabarger and ______.
Judi bursting with pride …and relief that this long sought goal was finally reached. Thank you, Judi!
