Buzz and Judi Shellabarger’s garden has the traditional white picket fence and lots of azaleas. Incorporated into the garden are native trees, shrubs, and flowers to bring in wildlife. It’s a perfect garden to watch birds, bees, and butterflies.

Favorite Garden Tip :Native plants work best in our soil. If you want nature in your yard, plant natives.

Milky Way Ice Cream
[print-me target=”.printrecipe” title=”Print Recipe”] INGREDIENTS:
8 regular Milky Way bars
2 c milk
5 eggs
1½ c sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 large can evaporated milk
1 small can evaporated milk
1½ c half and half
STEPS:
- In heavy saucepan, melt candy in milk. Cool.
- While Milky Way candy mixture is cooling, beat eggs.
- Add sugar and beat well again.
- Add vanilla, evaporated milk, ½ and ½.
- Combine with candy mixture and mix well.
- Pour into gallon freezer can.
- Add extra milk, if needed, to fill line.
