I know you might not be thinking of it right now with this chilly weather, brrrr, but please if you want to be a Garden Walk host at the 6th annual Cooper Young Garden Walk please head to the Cooper Young garden club.org website to check out all the details and sign up to be a garden host. Of course this all depends on Covid safety. 2020 was virtual so we’ll just see how it goes. 🌿 Do you know that you do not need to live in Cooper Young to be featured?! The mission statement of the garden walk is city wide beautification one yard of the time. We are all about eliminating blight and providing gardening education. There are no rules or judging, if you like your garden we like your garden. You can also just style your porch with containers 🪴so there is No big commitment. We are thrilled to feature gardens from all over Memphis, from beginners to master gardeners!! @cooperyounggardenwalkmemphis Kris 🐆🌿🐆 On a personal note I’m adding that this is my 100th post for my @vintagemodernmemphis shop! I have been the CY Garden Walk Insta for several years now and that’s where I learned how to keep pushing through my total lack of knowledge about the platform and focus on my love of photography. I think it’s really cool that I just shared this rare snow day photo today for the walk, and thought oh I’ll share it here to spread the word as I am all about including #memphis in my work and tags. So when it turned out to be my one hundredth post I was really excited about how the Universe works like that, #numbersgeek ! Many thanks for following, thanks for supporting my shop with you community and purchases. So certainly support the garden club in Cooper Young if you can and attend the Garden Walk in May 2021 if the world 🌎 allows it. It’s pulled off by a very small group of volunteers all led by the driving force of Kim Halyak! If anyone is interested in helping us make this happen please contact Kim via the website.
