SOME LOVELY GARDENS IN MEMPHIS

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to speak at the Cooper-Young Garden Walk in Memphis, Tennessee. As many of you know I LOVE visiting private gardens and with over 75 to explore that weekend I was beyond elated. The Cooper-Young neighborhood is filled with beautiful, plus fun and quirky gardens. Most are small, which means great spaces with amazing details.

Though the gardens were lovely, the people of Cooper-Young impressed me the most. They were passionate about their neighborhood, gardens and the city of Memphis which allowed me to connect as if I’d been there for years. I even brought my mom along so she could cross Graceland off her bucket list (that was a nice visit too).

Below are a few photos I snapped via Instagram. You can see more images of the garden walk here (by searching #cooperyounggardenwalk).

If you find yourself in the Memphis area at the end of May, I encourage you to spend a couple of days in the Cooper-Young neighborhood visiting their gardens and meeting the spirited people who created them. Find out more about this garden walk here.

If you need a speaker for your event please drop me a note. I love teaching others about garden design and landscape graphics in a fun and practical way. I’m happy to share one-hour presentations or full-day workshops. Let me know what you need and we can discuss options.
