Garden Inspired Designs for the Table and the Men Who Make It Happen: Julie and Ted Wilson, Suzy Askew and Larry Rains
Besides growing, there is showing and this program demonstrates both. It is a demonstration of how gardeners – Julie and Suzy – enlist their husbands in making things to hold the bounty of the garden. Some people are envious of cars or houses or grandchildren, but many are envious of backyard workshops and/or husbands that can make things. Suzy and Julie are Flower Show Judges and Ikebana instructors so they are always needing mechanics or contrived containers to use in their work. Their husbands, Ted and Larry, made these items in their workshops. Suzy will do two Thanksgiving tables with Larry-made pieces. Julie will show many of the devices Ted has made for her award-winning designs. Its right brain left brain cooperation!
